Our Child Sponsorship Program is a partnership with families in our community. We don't want to take responsibility away from the parent, but provide hope for families in overwhelming situations.

At Good News Kenya, we believe that while these children may live in a developing country, they are first world people in God’s eyes and in our eyes. We have hope that if we can give the children opportunities for education and a healthy lifestyle that they will have a future that can break the poverty chain in Kenya.

Children in our program are held to a high standard as we strive to disciple them to create a solid foundation in Christ. They are accountable to maintain good grades, be involved in a Christian community, show Christ-like behavior, and give back to their community. It is our priority that they receive the Word of God and continue to grow in their faith.

We have three different levels of sponsorship:

ELEMENTARY SPONSORSHIP

$35/month

HIGH SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

$50/month

COLLEGE SPONSORSHIP

$75-100/month

Your sponsorship helps to provide:

EDUCATION

Your sponsorship provides for all education needs: school fees, school uniform, learning resources, and a backpack!

FOOD ASSISTANCE

Most sponsorships provide a basket of food once a month to help the family. Alternatively, some student sponsorships provide one meal a day at school.

HEALTHCARE

If a pressing healthcare need arises, we work together with the family to make sure your child’s health is a priority.

As your child advances to different education levels, we will contact you about your ability to increase your sponsorship donation. Sponsors will receive a letter and update from their child at least 2 times per year. Our hope is that your sponsorship will not only be a financial commitment, but a commitment to pray for your child and their family. A sponsorship is a partnership between the sponsor and the child’s parents, as they partner together in providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the child.

How to connect with your sponsored child:

  • Pray and talk about your child at the dinner table.

  • Please scan the letter and photo and send it to hollyandfred@goodnewskenya.org

  • It is best to keep the package to the size of a manilla envelope. Please do not send a package more than once a year.
